With Donut.cx, you can send personalized messages to multiple users in one go using WhatsApp Broadcasts. In this article, let's see how you can create a WhatsApp Broadcast and understand how you can analyze the performance of each Broadcast.
Create a Broadcast
Click on the icon to access the Broadcast menu.
Go to “WhatsApp Broadcast” → “Create Broadcast”
Give your broadcast a Name, then schedule a time and date. Add Notes (optional) with context around what this broadcast is for and who will receive it. Click Next when you are done.
Select the template that you want to broadcast. You can create a new template by following the steps here.
Upload your customers’ contact list to whom you wish to broadcast the message. You can upload an .XLSX or CSV file. You can download and fill details in the template file.
Verify your details once again. Click on “Schedule Broadcast” to schedule your broadcast for delivery at the aforementioned time.
You will receive a pop-up to notify you that your broadcast is successfully scheduled. Your newly created broadcast will then appear in the “Planned broadcasts” list.
Broadcast Analytics
Once your broadcast is live, you will see it in the "Sent Broadcasts" list. Here, you will see a cumulative report of all sent broadcasts with the following details:
- Total Messages (Count of all messages that were planned to be sent)
- Sent (Count of messages that were sent successfully)
- Delivered (Count of messages that were delivered to the end-user successfully)
- Read (Count of messages read by the end-user)
- Failed (Count of messages that failed to be sent)
Use the filters and controls available in this section for analytics based on Broadcast Status or time duration.
To see a report of an individual broadcast, hit the > button at the right corner. Here, you can see an overview of messages Sent, Delivered, and Read. If you would like to see a granular, user-level status report, you can download a CSV report by clicking the "Download Report" button.
The CSV Report will let you see the message status at a user level with the following details:
- Phone Number
- Message Status
- Failure Reason
- Failure Details
- Sent Time
Use this report to retarget users who have read your broadcasts but have not replied to you/not taken an action. You may also pick the list of phone numbers that failed to receive your broadcast and resend the broadcast to them.
Note: Messages will fail to deliver to end-user phone numbers that are not connected to an active WhatsApp account.
